I love all things Aveda. This essential oil is no exception.
I like to put a few drops in the bath or on my wrists for a light fragrance and little pick-me-up. It is also rumored to repel rodents because they hate the smell of peppermint.
My favorite use is to make my own household spray-cleaner. This is great for wiping down counters and removing toddler finger prints from my husband’s TV. It is safe to use on stainless steel appliances on which ammonia-based cleaners are a no-no.
To make it, mix the following in a spray bottle:
- 2 tablespoons rubbing alcohol
- ½ cup white vinegar
- 2 ½ cups water
- 6-8 drops of Aveda Peppermint Essential Oil (or your own favorite)
I bought a cheap plastic spray bottle at the local hardware store but if you wanted to be fancy you could put this in a cute container.
