The weather has turned colder here and the chill seems magnified by the loss of my grandfather this weekend. He lived a good, long life and was surrounded by family during his final days. Times like these I feel tremendously blessed to live near family.
As the crisp air of fall really takes hold and we honor the life of a great man, I am cherishing the time spent with loved ones. As our pastor said, seasons change and new generations come as old ones depart. I am reminded of that when I watch my daughter play, innocent, and oblivious to the sadness we are experiencing. When someone passes away, is there anything better than a baby’s laugh to remind us that life goes on and there is always sunshine beyond the clouds?
