Some Fall Favorites

Fall is in full swing so I thought I would share a few items for this wonderful time of year. We had snow here over night, but I’m holding out hope we’ll continue to see some beautiful fall days ahead. So light a candle, put something yummy in the slow-cooker, load up on Halloween candy, and go ahead and order yourself a pumpkin spice latte.

1. I have been burning this Golden Chestnut candle as the days have started turning colder and it smells amazing. (Yankee Candle) 2. I love the colors of this $20 felt wreath. (Target) 3. I like sending Halloween cards and the artwork on this is too precious. (Rifle Paper Company) 4. This is a spoiler alert on the hubby’s Buzz Lightyear Halloween costume for this year. He’s such a good dad. (Target) 5. I bought these booties a couple of months ago and am excited to pair them with tights and dresses this fall. (Report, available on Zappos) 6. A cozy plaid scarf is a go-to item all fall and winter. (Gap)

Soaking It All In

Like a lot of parents, my husband and I spend a good share of the work week away from our children. This definitely leads to some feelings of guilt, but the silver lining is it also gives us the excuse to spend an entire Saturday at least once a month doing fun activities with the girls. The laundry can wait. The yard can wait. It’s all about family on those glorious days.

Last Saturday this involved breakfast at a nearby restaurant, a trip to a pumpkin patch, and various other activities.

On these amazing, care-free Saturdays, I focus on soaking in every moment with these three.

It’s so cliché, but the little ones truly do grow so fast. I love being a mom, but I also find value in my work outside the home. One major perk is learning to make true quality time on the days the four of us can be together. I love those days. P.S. Isn’t fall the best?

A Few Fall Favorites

The leaves are changing and the air is crisp. Here are a few of my favorite things right now.

1. I have been living in these mustard-colored pants for the past month. They also come in a gorgeous shade of plum. (Gap) 2. Pumpkin mugs are just so festive. (Pottery Barn) 3. My youngest daughter will be sporting this adorable onesie and hat set because I have to relish the time before she insists on having a say in her costume selection. (Carter’s) 4. Burning pumpkin candles this time of year is a must. This one has been my favorite since college. (Yankee Candle) 5. This fox pumpkin kit is a great way for my three-year-old to decorate her own pumpkin. ( 6. My mom made us a gorgeous wreath from some of our wedding centerpiece flowers for our front door. This wreath is a similar look that I love. (Crate & Barrel)

My Fall Favorite: Skirts and Boots

Even though the temperature here is hovering around 80 degrees today, I want to talk about my favorite chilly weather ensemble, which is without a doubt skirts paired with boots. They are classic, comfortable, and lady-like. Here are three sets I would like to have in my life as the cold air approaches.

1. Skirt: H&M, Boots: Calvin Klein 2. Skirt: Banana Republic, Boots: Børn 3. Skirt: Ann Taylor, Boots: Ann Klein

Yankee Fall Fragrances

When I was in college I worked at an adorable boutique that sold household decor, specialty food items, and all kinds of other wonderful things. One highlight was when the new Yankee Candle fragrances came out. I love the food scents, especially the warm autumn ones like pumpkin or cider.

1. Sugar & Spice 2. Cranberry Twist 3. Crisp Morning Air 4. Vanilla Bourbon 5. Autumn in the Park 6. Brandy Pear Tart

These are the new fragrances out for this Fall. All are available at, but if your local retailer sells them, please purchase them there! I am trying to decide between Sugar & Spice and Vanilla Bourbon. What fragrance is your favorite?
