I am excited about this! NPR just published its list of the 10 best books of 2016. It has been a while since I have posted my thoughts about a book. I have still been reading, but lately it has been with little enthusiasm or direction, so I’m excited to dive into this list. I think it’s a great reading goal for 2017. And the list includes both Eleanor Roosevelt and The Boss, so count me in! I won’t tell you which book I’m starting with, but look for my first post in the next week or so.
The list:
The Underground Railroad by Colson Whitehead
Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi
The Lonely City: Adventures in the Art of Being Alone by Olivia Laing
The Wonder by Emma Donoghue
Here I Am by Jonathan Safran Foer
Underground Airlines by Ben H. Winters
Born to Run by Bruce Springsteen
When Breath Becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi
Eleanor Roosevelt: The War Years and After, 1939-1962 by Blanche Wiesen Cook
Eyes on the Street: The Life of Jane Jacobs by Robert Kanigel
