Later this summer my husband, one-year-old daughter, and I will go on a family vacation to Portland, Oregon. He attended optometry school there and I have never visited Oregon, so it seems like a good voyage to take with a toddler. She has flown once before so we’re hoping for a relatively stress-free trip. Did you know the world’s largest bookstore is in Portland? My husband was hoping I wouldn’t discover that fact.
Here is my summer suitcase wish-list because who doesn’t like to look at pretty items in anticipation of vacation? What do you want in your suitcase this summer?
1. A pretty scarf that can be used as a head wrap on the beach or sight-seeing. (Nordstrom) 2. A roomy shoulder bag that can hold my daughter’s things as well as my own. (Kate Spade) 3. When it comes to sunglasses, the bigger the better. (Kate Spade) 4. Loose-fitting pants in a funky pattern. (Ann Taylor Loft) 5. A cute and casual dress in a summery print. Also, folks, this dress is only $9.95! (H&M) 6. Linen tank tops are my fave this summer. I love this color, too. (Ann Taylor Loft) 7. Comfy flats for a lot of walking. (Tom’s)
